Pyrite – A 3D Molecular Visualizer

Pyrite is a 3D molecular-dynamics trajectory visualizer that simplifies the process of creating molecular structures in Blender. This Blender plugin was designed to create visually realistic representations of molecular-dynamics(MD), which is not yet available in current MD software programs.

The limitations of MD software is their lack of advanced rendering algorithm, something that’s present in Blender. The goal was to get Blender to create these complex molecular-dynamics without using too many resources.

Pyrite Demo

Pyrite also works on web browsers with the help of babylon.js, a powerful engine that utilizes WebGL, JavaScript, and HTML5 to create 3D objects.

If you’re interested in Pyrite’s capabilities, feel free to check it out here!
