HTML5 Game Reskins with YoutTube Influencers
If you are a vlogger who wants to become a viral sensation, the pressure to stand out from the competition is enormous. That’s why other YouTubers are looking at creative ways to reach their audiences, including HTML5 Game Reskins.
Spanish YouTube celebrities Makiman131 and Patty Dragona partnered with a HTML5 development company to create a game for them. The game is called Street Racer where you can play as either Mskiman or Patty and drive cool cars.
The game was a reskin of a previously-made game called Giant Hamster Run, which is an endless runner. Despite having different genres and themes, the racing game was still effective in marketing the brand of the YouTube vloggers.
Reskin is the process of modifying an existing game by changing its assets while retaining its core mechanics. You don’t have to start from scratch, so production costs are reduced.
If a player enjoys your game, they will associate your brand to something positive and they’ll be more willing to engage with your content. They may even be willing to share the game, which is easy to do. HTML5 games can be accessed by devices that can open a modern web browser; no app downloads needed.
