Breakouts: The ToDoMVC for HTML5 Game Engines

Breakouts is a project by city41 designed to help you evaluate different HTML5 Game Engines by showing an implementation of a simple but complete game (Breakout) in a number of different engines to let you get a sense of what building a game in one of these engines looks like.

On launch, Breakouts includes three version:

  • Crafty (Source Code)
  • Impact.js (Source Code)
  • Lime (Source Code)

The code is up on GitHub and developers are encouraged to build an implementation in their favorite engine (much like ToDoMVC)
