Mozilla Launches OpenWebDevice.com

Mozilla has launched a new website for Boot2Gecko called OpenWebDevice.com.

Book2Gecko is described as:

A fully compliant and native HTML5 device. Boot2Gecko on top of the kernel & drivers: no other Operating system co-existing. All the User Experience, Services & Applications written in HTML5. Exposing all the functionality in Javascript: dialer, messaging, contacts, location, and all the settings of the device.

That’s right folks:

It’s HTML5 All the way down! (Well, except the kernel, but we’re going to ignore that.)

Mozilla has also demonstrated the Boot2Gecko hardware. You can check out the fill details on the Mozilla Wiki

TheVerge.com has posted some new pictures

I for one welcome our new nothing-but-HTML5-running overlords. Sign up for the Open Web Device Newsletter on the site
